Updated in March 2006: Acting Chancellor, Lady Richild la Gauchere, is calling for nominations for Chancellor (term to being at Pennsic XXXV (August 2006) and run for 2 years, and Registrar (same term and start date). Nominations will be open through April 2006, voting to commence and run through May. The voting process and vote counters will be announced as soon as they are in place. Updated in March 2006; No Blood No Foul Rapier & Fighter Academy Invades T.O.A.D. w/ Drills
On March 30th in the cool spring night air, NBNF Commander Don Pascual Del Mar brought a sampling of the drills he runs at his local rapier practice in Rusted Woodlands (Hawthorne, NJ) to some of the other rapier fighters of the southern region. The announcement was made, and all those interested retired to the outdoors. A total of 9 rapier combatants came out, bright eyed and looking to learn. Their own skill levels ranged from intermediate, thru OGR, just going to show that anyone can gain something from fine tuning their basics and solidifying their groundwork. Drills included footwork, distance, defensive blade work, and some offensive blade work. As long as the interest is there Don Pascual plans to bring drills with him the last Thursday of each month when invading, and will come up with more and more drills as needed to try and keep things interesting and fun for the group.
